Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced that this year’s 529 Day Promotion was the most successful ever, with more than 2,800 new PA 529 College and Career Savings Program accounts opened during the month of May and $61.5 million in contributions made.

Fourth consecutive fee waiver will save PA 529 GSP families $5.7 million this year


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced the fourth consecutive fee waiver for families who save with the PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan (GSP). The fee waiver covers asset-based fees during the current fiscal year, July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, which means that PA 529 GSP account owners will not see any fees on quarterly statements.

August 7 is Purple Heart Day, honoring more than two million Veterans awarded the medal


Annville, PA - During a ceremony at Fort Indiantown Gap, Treasurer Stacy Garrity today observed Purple Heart Day by returning a Purple Heart Medal to the son of the late Ray Alvin Morgan, a U.S. Army veteran who was wounded during the Vietnam War. She was joined by Senator Chris Gebhard (R-48) and Representative JoAnne Stehr (R-107).

Treasurer Garrity threw a ceremonial first pitch ahead of the game.
