Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Senator Frank Farry Return Over $19,000 to Residents of Bucks County

Richboro, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity and Sen. Frank Farry (R-6) today announced that $19,196.47 in unclaimed property is being returned to residents of Bucks County following Sen. Farry’s Senior Expo held recently at the Northampton Valley Country Club.

“Senator Farry’s Senior Expo was a great opportunity for constituents to check for unclaimed property, and I am thrilled to see that more than $19,000 will be returned. This is money that belongs in the pockets of hard-working people in Bucks County.”

Unclaimed property can include dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, forgotten safe deposit boxes and much more. State law requires businesses to report unclaimed property to Treasury after three years of dormancy.

“Many people don’t realize they have unclaimed property, so being able to offer this service at our Senior Expo and return over $19,000 really highlights the importance of connecting our constituents with these valuable services. I’m grateful to Treasurer Garrity and her team for their dedication to ensuring these funds reach their rightful owners, and I will continue working with them to raise awareness about this important program.”

Residents who attended Sen. Farry’s Senate district were helped by Treasury’s outreach team to search for unclaimed property.

“Treasury is eager to help anyone search for unclaimed property, as more than one in 10 Pennsylvanians has money being safeguarded by Treasury. It’s very easy to check our website to see if you own any unclaimed property.”
