Treasury will begin sending rebates on July 1, the first date permitted by state law


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today encouraged eligible Pennsylvanians to apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program for this year’s rebate as soon as possible, noting that the Pennsylvania Treasury Department will begin sending rebates to approved applicants on July 1.

Harrisburg, PA - Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced that Treasury’s Outreach Team will be at the Adams County Farmers Market on May 25, 2024, to talk with shoppers about Treasury’s PA 529 College and Career Savings Program, Keystone Scholars, and PA ABLE Savings Program – and to help people search for unclaimed property. Treasury’s experts will be available from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Treasurer Garrity joined the National Association of State Treasurers to help raise funds for the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank


Pittsburgh, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today, along with volunteers from the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST), visited the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank to help sort and package diapers. NAST raised more than $15,000 for the diaper bank as part of a service project in conjunction with this week’s NAST Treasury Management Training Symposium being held in Pittsburgh.

Treasurer Stacy Garrity Announces Return of More Than $30,000 in Unclaimed Property to City of Farrell


Farrell, PA - Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50), Rep. Parke Wentling (R-7) and Farrell City Mayor Kimberly Doss announced today that more than $30,000 in unclaimed property has been returned to the City of Farrell in Mercer County. The money was originally identified during an unclaimed property clinic at Rep. Wentling’s Shenango Valley district office.

The gold records were reported to Treasury as unclaimed property.
