Treasury’s main duty is to safeguard and invest the resources of the Commonwealth. Still, it is often the long-term investments we make in our future that can pay the greatest dividends for Pennsylvania and its residents.
We want to help Pennsylvania families’ progress towards greater economic security and prosperity and ensure that our resources are hard at work to secure their future.
That’s why we’ve partnered with statewide financial organizations to bring you savings, loan, and investment programs that help communities across the Commonwealth achieve their economic goals. We are proud of these financial products and will continue to develop innovative solutions to address the challenges many are faced with in today’s economy.
Similar in concept to money market funds, INVEST offers two highly rated short-term investment pools and custom pools for longer-term investment needs.
INVEST's portfolios are managed by Pennsylvania Treasury investment professionals, who also oversee the investment and custody of nearly $80 billion in public funds. While INVEST funds are never commingled with state funds, Treasury can negotiate better rates by leveraging its purchase power for INVEST as well as its investment pool for state agencies. Treasury doesn’t seek a profit from INVEST, further helping to minimize costs to participants. Learn more...
