With the holiday shopping season kicking in to high gear, gift cards continue to be a hot gift item. A recent survey conducted by the National Retail Federation (NRF) found that 55.2 percent of adults would like to receive a gift card this holiday season. McCord Treasury Reaches Processing Milestone to Issue $2.4 Billion in Much-Needed State
Funding To Organizations
Treasurer Rob McCord today announced that the Pennsylvania Treasury Department’s compressed processing practices have paid off for school districts, local governments, and social agencies – already $2.4 billion in state funding (delayed since July 1) is on its way to thousands of organizations across the Commonwealth. These and other organizations awaiting priority payments can visit www.patreasury.gov and track the status of these payments, which have been designated as highest-priority by the funding Commonwealth agencies, once they are received at Treasury.

Pennsylvania Treasury Ready to Work Weekend and Holiday to Process Priority Payments
Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord has modified Treasury’s regular practices to process priority payments due to the Commonwealth’s school districts and social agencies within four to six days once spending authority is restored. Additionally, Treasurer McCord announced that shortly after passage of the budget, individuals and organizations can visit www.patreasury.gov and track the status of these payments, which have been designated as highest-priority by the funding Commonwealth agencies, once they are received at Treasury. Checks Are In The Mail Direct Deposit Payments Begin On Friday
Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord today announced that he and his staff have implemented expedited procedures that will allow the Treasury Department to make payroll payments to roughly half the Commonwealth’s executive and judicial branch employees on Friday, August 7, and payments to the other half on Monday, August 10.
