April 15th Unclaimed Property Reporting Deadline
As a former business owner, I know it can be frustrating when you aren’t well-briefed about the laws that apply to your business. That is why I wanted to be sure you knew employers in Pennsylvania are subject to the Disposition of Abandoned and Unclaimed Property Law, and that April 15th is the deadline to report and deliver unclaimed property to the Pennsylvania Treasury.

The McCord Treasury is offering a series of webinars to help you learn how to ensure your business complies with the law and to help make the process of reporting easier for you.

Please visit www.patreasury.gov to view the webinar schedule and topics available and to register. You can also see what is considered unclaimed property and information about filing an unclaimed property report, including detailed instructions, free electronic reporting software, and a copy of the unclaimed property law.

Treasury’s Unclaimed Property Compliance Team is also available to assist you with any questions. Please call
1-800-379-3999, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST or email.

Enhance your Employee Benefits
The McCord Treasury is also offering a series of webinars throughout April designed to help employers retain the best employees by helping them save for college. The PA 529 College Savings Program is a no-cost, easy-to-implement benefit you can provide through your workplace.

Join Treasury’s college savings experts for a free one-hour webinar to learn how the PA 529 College Savings Program can help your organization enhance its suite of benefits while addressing one of the major financial concerns your employees have.

Please visit www.pa529.com to register for one of the free webinars to see how easy it is to help your employees save for their educational future or that of their loved ones.

Warmly,
